If you’ve visited City Hall, there’s a good chance Cecilia’s smiling face was one of the first to greet you. From managing accounts payable to lending a helping hand when needed, Cecilia’s dedication and care for both her coworkers and the residents of Spring Valley Village truly shine through.

Q&A with Cecilia
What’s your position with the city, and how long have you been in that role?
I currently serve as the Administrative Services Coordinator, handling accounts payable. I’ve been in this role for two years.
What’s an interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?
I’ve had the incredible opportunity to travel to various third-world countries, including parts of Africa, to participate in missionary work.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work? Hobbies?
Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, camping, going to rock concerts, and most importantly, spending quality time with my kids and family.
What do you like about working for the City of SVV?
I appreciate the strong sense of community and pride our residents have in their city. I’m also grateful for the support and flexibility our workplace offers, especially for working mothers like myself.
What would you be doing if you didn’t work here?
I’d love to travel across the U.S. visiting all the national parks. Career-wise, I’ve always been drawn to event planning and would pursue that path.
If you have one thing you could share with the residents of SVV, what would it be?
I genuinely care about our residents and always strive to assist in any way I can. As a resident myself, I understand the challenges that can come up, and I aim to approach every situation with empathy and fairness.
