As Chief of the Spring Valley Village Police Department, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome residents and visitors to our webpage. The purpose of our webpage is to provide information about the Spring Valley Village Police Department, as well as insight regarding police activities and resources that allow our residents to get directly involved in the safety of our community.
Through proactive safety measures, the men and women of the Spring Valley Village Police Department are committed to providing the highest level of service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to our residents.

When you dial 911 within our city limits, your call rings directly into our police department.
Imminent Danger Emergencies
For reporting in-progress crimes or emergencies involving imminent danger to life and/or property, you will be able to give your information directly to the dispatcher who will immediately dispatch the information via radio to the responding officers.Fire Department Emergencies

If you have an alarm system or are considering the installation of one at your home or business, you should be aware of Spring Valley Village's alarm ordinance which requires that the alarm be registered with the Police Department. This registration provides us with information regarding key holders and emergency contacts in case we respond to an alarm at your residence or business. You may pick up an application in person at the Spring Valley Village Police Department located at 1025 Campbell Rd. Houston, TX. 77055. Registration Renewals
Beginning February of 2017, all residential and commercial alarms permit renewals that have an active utility account will be included on your utility bill. If you do not have an active utility account, you will receive a renewal by mail.

Fees
There is a $50 fee for new alarms. Alarm Permits are valid for the for the calendar year in which they are issued. There is an annual renewal fee of $20 for each alarm permit.Registration Renewals

False Alarms
You are allowed 5 false alarms in 1 calendar year. False alarms in excess of those are billed at $50 per call.
We have officers who are certified to conduct home security surveys of your home in order to advise you on any additional security devices, such as alarms or auxiliary locks, that you may wish to consider installing to help make your home a safer place to live.

The police department has a House Watch program to be utilized when you leave home either overnight or for an extended period during which your home will be vacant. An officer on each shift will drive by your house looking for anything out of the ordinary.

- Name
- Address
- Dates leaving and returning
- Any key holder information or if anyone will be in and out of the house (i.e. housekeeper, pool service, lawn crew, pet sitter, etc.)
- Any lights and/or timers left on
- Any cars remaining in the driveway and their colors and makes (i.e., Green Tahoe)
- Emergency contact numbers and/or cell phone numbers

We rely strongly on your eyes and ears to report to us anything that you may see in your neighborhood that may be suspicious. If you see a person or a vehicle in the area that you consider suspicious:
- Do not attempt to confront that person.
- Take down an accurate description of the person or vehicle, including a license plate if possible.
- Telephone us immediately so that we can dispatch an officer to check the situation.

- Help officers determine which vehicles to expect at your residence on a regular basis
