About the Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven (7) citizen volunteers who review:

  • Proposed building construction
  • Proposed subdivision plans
  • Recommended changes to the Zoning Ordinance
  • Replats of existing subdivisions

Zoning Ordinance changes include:

  • Building construction requirements
  • Building setback lines
  • Changes in minimum lot sizes
  • Commercial and residential use requirements
  • Commercial parking ratio requirements
  • Ratio of non-permeable improvement area to total lot area
  • Tree protection ordinances
